Barnhart Generator Moves Through Southwest Virginia
The giant generator continues to move through southwest Virginia. A 300 foot tractor-trailer is making its way from Knoxville to Virginia City, Virginia. The trailer is delivering a generator, all the way from Japan, for the new coal-fired Dominion power plant. The entire 28-dolly transporter weighs about one-point-three million pounds. The transport is moving at about five to eight miles per hour and is traveling only at night. It’s expected to arrive sometime around July eighth.
