Tri-Cities TN/VA: Clear sky, 50 °F
Martha Street Culp Auditorium, East Tennessee State University
This entertaining and insightful performance with award-winning storyteller Diane Edgecomb charts her years collecting the vanishing folkloric tales of the Kurdish people. The seven-year quest brought Diane to remote mountain villages in Turkey—places usually forbidden to outsiders. The performance resonates with the humor and pathos of village life and the colorful people that shared their lives with her. With a style of telling known for rich characterizations and a zany sense of humor, Diane has been recognized by Publisher’s Weekly and others as a master of her craft. Presented by the Mary B. Martin School of the Arts Tickets are $15 General Admission, $10 Seniors 60+, $5 students w/ID
