Horse Helpers of the High Country’s third annual raffle and silent auction, “eat.drink.bid”, will take place on Thursday, September 6th from 5-9 p.m.at Blue Ridge Mountain Club’s Watson Gap Pavilion. Raffle Drawing & Close of Bidding at 8 pm. Join Horse Helpers for a fun-filled evening, including food from Twigs, wines from Grandfather Vineyard, live music, silent auction, and raffle drawing of a new 2012 Honda Rancher ATV. Each ticket allows entry for one, and includes all of the above. Tickets are $40 each, or 4 for $150. Items will also include horseback riding lessons, fine horseback riding equipment and much, much more. This is a great opportunity to do early Christmas shopping all while helping the High Country’s local horse rescue Horse Helpers of the High Country. Turn South onto Sampson Road. Proceed on Sampson Road for 1.1 miles and then make a slight left onto State View Road. The gated entrance to Blue Ridge Mountain Club is at the top of the hill on the Right. Continue towards the pavilion at Watson Gap Park. About Horse Helpers of the High Country: Horse Helpers of the High Country, incorporated in 2004 as a nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation, is the only equine rescue serving Watauga, Ashe & Avery Counties in North Carolina, as well as Johnson County, TN. The mission of Horse Helpers is to give sick, abused, & unwanted horses a second chance. They provide treatment and rehabilitation for horses seized by law enforcement and animal control.
